Once upon a time, in a small village named "Biblios", lived a young boy named Tim. Tim was not like the other children in the village. While they spent their time playing in the fields, Tim was always found with his nose in a book. His parents were simple farmers who didn't understand his fascination with books, but they supported him nonetheless.
One day, a great calamity befell the village. The only well in the village, their primary source of water, dried up. The villagers were in a state of panic. They didn't know how to find water underground. The village elder remembered an old legend about a hidden water source, but no one knew how to find it.
Tim, hearing about the legend, remembered a book he had read about water divining and underground water sources. He rushed home and spent the whole night reading and understanding the techniques mentioned in the book. The next day, he approached the village elder and explained his plan. The villagers, having no other option, decided to give Tim's plan a try.
Tim used the techniques he had read about, and after a few hours of searching, he found the hidden water source. The villagers were overjoyed and celebrated Tim's success. They were able to dig a new well and had access to water again.
From that day forward, the villagers never underestimated the power of reading. They realized that through reading, they could gain access to knowledge and solutions discovered by others. Tim's love for reading had saved the village.
The moral of the story is that "A capacity, and taste, for reading gives access to whatever has already been discovered by others." Reading not only provides knowledge but also empowers us to utilize that knowledge when needed.
